Although I’m sure I’ve said that before he never ceases to amaze me. He brought home a creative writing paper last week and was at first embarrassed to let me read it. It was so simple yet carried a much bigger message. He brought it home on the 7th anniversary of 9-11 and at first it didn’t dawn on me. I am still unsure of how to explain what happened on that day seven years ago. I remember exactly where I was when I heard the breaking news. I have it snapped into my mind like a photograph. It was like the War of the Worlds but it was no trick. I hope I am prepared when they finally ask me about it. Until then I will take the wise advice of my six year old boy, “Somethings don’t work out but if you really want it to just talk to God.”
